Experience
Working with Allison
Working with Allison on your wedding day begins by transforming the planning process into an enjoyable experience, starting with a collaborative session to create a detailed timeline and discuss meaningful details that matter most to you. Regular check-ins ensure that all concerns are addressed, allowing her to provide helpful tips for a seamless day.
On the wedding day itself, Allison's careful planning allows everything to flow smoothly, and her adaptability to unexpected issues helps keep the celebration on track, all while capturing every important moment.
After the event, she meticulously edits each photo to reflect the joy of your day and promises timely delivery, including previews just a day later, ensuring you can relive your cherished memories without long waits.
With Allison, your love story is beautifully told through her lens, making your photography experience as memorable as the day itself.

FAQ
Do you charge for travel?
I sure do! Anything over 100 miles from Olympia is going to have a $0.725/mile fee.
For weddings/shoots that take place over 2 hours away, I do charge a lodging fee depending on the area.
Second shooters also receive travel compensation depending on their location in relation to the venue.
I want to reschedule, what happens now?
I would much rather reschedule than cancel with you!
I do encourage any visiting clients to schedule their original sessions early in their trip so that there is more flexibility in case we need to reschedule.
If you cannot reschedule, the retainer fee is still non-refundable.
I will not reschedule or cancel a shoot due to rain unless it is a down-pour and not stopping within 30 minutes of your session. It rains a lot here. I just come prepared for the rain and so should you (dress warmly, bring additional clothing, etc).
Can I have the raw images?
That would be a NO, my friends. As stated in a previous paragraph, you will only receive the edited portraits, which are JPEG. The files are large, though. So you will be able to blow them up into beautiful canvases and prints!
Do you work with LBGTQ+ clientele?
Easiest question to answer: of course I do.
I also want clients to be very upfront about their preferred pronouns as well before their session/event.
Do you require a retainer to book?
Yes -- to book, you must put down a non-refundable $700.00 retainer fee and sign my digital contract. The remaining balance for your wedding is not due until the day (or sometime the week) of the wedding.
What gear do you use?
I am a Canon gal. So everything I own is Canon, other than my ProPhoto flashes.
An official list for you:
Two Canon R5 cameras.
Canon RF 50MM L
Canon RF 24-70MM L
Canon RF 85MM L
Canon RF 70-200 L
Are there venues you will not work at?
In 2026, I am going to begin prioritizing garden, manor, and state park venues. Most farm/barn venues (there are a few exceptions) do not work with my aesthetic, so I will be straying away from that vibe when I can.
Do you edit your photographs?
I do! That is actually one of the best parts of the job. I love playing with color and making your portraits sparkle (not literally, but I could if you'd like...). I edit each portrait individually; not in bulk. Therefore each portrait is hand-crafted and given special attention. The edited portraits are also the only ones that you would receive in your gallery.
For clarification, I primarily edit COLORS -- NOT BODIES.
I will definitely take out certain things from backgrounds/foregrounds that take away from the overall beauty of a photo, but I do not alter bodies. I believe in the natural beauty of everyone. Sure, I'll take away a blemish if you point it out, but otherwise, I want to capture you as you are.
How many photos will I get back?
This is completely unpredictable and relies heavily on how many hours of shooting and locations are involved. It also relies on how many things are involved in the session/wedding (for example, someone who brings props/pets to a session or a couple that has something as simple as a cake cutting moment at their wedding is going to get more photos back than someone who doesn't do any of that). To sum it up, I do not put a cap on how many photos clients receive. You are paying for time, not an image count. My average, though, is about 100 photos per hour.
ARE YOU COMFORTABLE SHOOTING AT VENUES/LOCATIONS YOU HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY WORKED AT?
I've seen a lot in my few years as a wedding photographer. I've shot on beaches, in the pouring rain, in dark barns, under tents, in large churches and small churches, on mountain sides, cliffs, and in some of the most gorgeous gardens. So...yeah. I'd say I'm pretty comfortable at this point. But I always arrive early to any event (whether I have been there or not) just to get a feel for the land and the conditions.
DO YOU OFFER LOCATION RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PORTRAIT SESSIONS?
Yes! But your location is dependent on the vibe you're going for and that includes colors and elements (forests, mountains, oceans, gardens, etc). Once I get an idea of the look you're going for (and how much walking you'd like to do) then I can totally narrow down where we should go!
How many weddings have you worked?
I have officially lost count, guys.
On top of my own weddings, I have also been working elopement gigs in Hawai'i, which would sometimes mean multiple gigs a day for multiple companies.
